A plus sign (+) between two key names means that you must press those keys at the same time. For example, Press ALT+TAB means that you hold down ALT while you press TAB. A comma ( , ) between two or more key names means that you must press each of the keys consecutively, not together. For example, Press ALT, F, X means that you press and release each key in sequence. Press ALT+W, L means that you first press ALT and W at the same time, and then release them and press L.

EJB 3.1 provides a simplistic locking abstraction to the bean provider in the form of container-managed concurrency (CMC). By introducing a few annotations (and corresponding XML metadata) into the API, the developer is freed from the responsibility of correctly implementing thread-safe code. The container will, in turn, transparently apply the appropriate locking strategy. Note that when using your bean implementation class as a POJO, however, the code is not safe for use in concurrent environments when using CMC. By default, singleton beans employ a concurrency management type of CONTAINER, which takes the explicit form upon the bean implementation class:

In some organizations or for some servers, local accounts are used to administer the computer or the server applications. Local accounts cannot be eliminated entirely, and therefore an attacker might attempt to compromise them. An attacker with the password for a local administrator account can do a lot of damage to the data and pro cesses running on that computer. She might also be able to use the local administrator account to elevate her privileges in the domain. To defend against an attack on local accounts, use a GPO and establish an account policy for local accounts in addition to the account policies for domain accounts.

The local Administrator account can be disabled in Windows Server 2003; however, in safe mode, the local administrator account is enabled. Although booting to safe mode requires physical access to the computer, you should still assign a strong password to the Administrator account.

Creating a trust between two forest root domains provides a transitive relationship between every domain residing within each forest, and can be one- or two-way Forest trusts are useful for application service providers, organizations undergoing mergers or acquisitions, collaborative business extranets, and organizations seeking solutions for administrative autonomy One-Way Forest Trusts In a one-way forest trust, all domains in the trusted forest can utilize resources in the trusting forest, although members in the trusting forest cannot access resources in the trusted forest For example, if you create a one-way forest trust between Forest1 (the trusted forest) and Forest2 (the trusting forest), then users in Forest1 can access resources in Forest2 (assuming the users have permissions on resources) However, users in Forest2 will not be able to access resources in Forest1 until a second forest trust is established.

Other types include BEAN and CONCURRENCY_NOT_SUPPORTED. Because only one instance of a singleton bean will exist (per VM) in an application, it makes sense to support concurrency in some fashion. Each method in CMC will be assigned a lock type, which designates how the container should enforce access. By default, we use a write lock, which may be held by only one thread at a time. All other methods requesting the lock must wait their turn until the lock becomes available. The read lock may be explicitly specified, which will allow full concurrent access to all requests, provided that no write lock is currently being held. Locks are defined easily:
